We buy and sell used textbooks.
We buyback textbooks during the following periods: December – February & June – July.
We can only buy back textbooks that are current editions of prescribed texts for the forthcoming semester.
You can sell your textbooks at: Footscray Park, City Flinders, StAlbans & Footscray Nicholson St Bookshops.
The system relies on us having accurate information from lecturers as to their textbook requirements. Unfortunately, if we have not received information about a subject’s book from a lecturer then we cannot buy back the book(s) from you.
We buy back the textbooks at 40% of the current RRP
We sell used books at approximately 60% of the current RRP
Used books are displayed on the shelves alongside the new books, and are distinguished by special labels “pre-owned book” on the book’s spine. There is no additional discount on used texts.
The book must be in a reasonable condition. Damaged books will not be accepted.
A current University ID card must be presented when selling books.
We have set quotas on the quantity of each textbook that we can buy back. If this quota is reached we cannot buy back your book.
Used books cannot be bought or sold on our website. Used books are only available by personal shopping and cannot be ordered or held for customers.
We reserve the right to decline to buy back any book without comment.
